Therapist Turned Creativity Coach
A recovering blocked artist myself, from a long line of artists (both realized and un-realized), I know firsthand the struggles of self-doubt, perfectionism, and creative paralysis.
In college, I studied the psychology of creativity through the lenses of poetry and printmaking at New York University’s Gallatin School. Later, I earned a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles and completed trainings in creativity coaching and expressive arts therapy.
With six years of experience as a psychotherapist and mentor, I’ve worked with everyone from toddlers to teens to adults, using psychodynamic therapy, narrative therapy, depth therapy, coaching, and play and creative arts therapy in both online and in-person settings.
Now, my focus is creativity coaching, which is NOT therapy. Creativity coaching aims to heal creative wounding and foster a healthier relationship with artistic identity. Greater holistic wellbeing tends to ripple outward from this central focus.
In addition to my creativity coaching with adults, I maintain a small practice facilitating play and expressive arts therapy with kids — which reminds me of the importance silliness, whimsy, and taking care of our inner children, and serves as a constant source of inspiration.
